Bank Negara Malaysia’s anti-scam measures have been in place since July 2023, from one registered device per account to a cooling-off on first enrolment. Two dated rules are mapped here, each with its status and public source, to the controls they call for and the DeepID modules that support them. DeepID supports compliance and never guarantees it.

Dated rules.
Each rule with its date, its status, what it asks of a bank and the controls it calls for. A proposal is listed for what it would touch, and never marks the map.
Five anti-scam measures
In force
BNMAnnounced Sep 2022 · in place by Jul 2023
Migrate from SMS OTP to more secure authentication, tighten detection rules and confirm suspicious transactions, apply a cooling-off period on first enrolment of online banking, and keep one registered device per account holder.
Calls for: Beyond SMS OTP, Risk-based checks, Cool-off and holds, Device and SIM binding.
A shared portal behind the National Scam Response Centre that automates the tracing of stolen funds and the sharing of mule-account information. An initiative, not a direction to banks.
Each control the rule map tracks, whether a rule in Malaysia calls for it, and the DeepID modules that support it.

Not mapped yet
One decision, with reasonsDecision logs with their reasons and the message shown to the customer, and versioned policies, as evidence of what the bank did.
Not mapped yet means no rule is mapped to that control here, not that no rule exists. DeepID supports compliance and never guarantees it, and it claims no regulator approval.
Where the loss falls.
No loss-sharing rule is mapped for Malaysia yet. The complaint and the case review still land with the bank.
